Tour overview

Enjoy safe travel and great views during the whole trip.

Six celebrated destinations form a wide-ranging road circuit linking Mughal landmarks with Rajasthan's royal capitals, desert architecture and Mewar's lakes. The Royal Rajasthan Grand Circuit runs for 9 nights and 10 days across Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur and Agra, making it a strong choice for travellers who want Rajasthan combined with two of North India's most significant heritage cities.

Delhi provides the starting point before the journey enters Rajasthan through Jaipur, where Amer Fort, City Palace and Hawa Mahal introduce the architectural character of the Pink City. Jodhpur follows with Mehrangarh Fort and the Blue City, while Jaisalmer takes the route farther west into golden sandstone country and the Thar Desert.

Udaipur changes the landscape again with City Palace and Lake Pichola before the road turns towards Agra. The Taj Mahal provides a memorable conclusion to this 9 nights 10 days Rajasthan tour package. Scheduled travel by private car and driver keeps the multi-city route connected from beginning to end and makes the circuit suitable for families, couples and private groups.

Day wise itinerary

Tour Itinerary

Day1

Delhi Arrival & Capital City Sightseeing

Arrive in Delhi by flight, train or another confirmed mode of transport and meet your assigned private driver at the agreed pickup location. Proceed towards the selected hotel and complete check-in according to the property's applicable timing. After refreshments and a suitable rest period, begin the first sightseeing session according to your arrival schedule. Delhi serves as the gateway to this ten-day road journey and provides an architectural introduction that differs considerably from the Rajasthan cities covered later.

Proceed through selected parts of the capital to see important heritage and civic landmarks according to available time. The programme can include suitable exterior viewpoints and scheduled attractions within central or historic Delhi, with the final route determined by traffic, weekly closures and arrival timing. Since Delhi traffic can vary substantially throughout the day, sightseeing is arranged practically rather than promising an unrealistic number of stops. Entrance tickets for paid monuments remain payable separately.

Later, drive through the central city area and see landmarks such as India Gate and surrounding avenues when accessible. Guests interested in local markets or food can use some evening time independently, while travellers arriving after a long journey may return to the hotel earlier. No compulsory shopping visit is included. At the end of the programme, return to your accommodation and spend the first overnight stay in Delhi.

Day2

Delhi to Jaipur & Pink City Sightseeing

Have breakfast, complete check-out and begin the road journey towards Jaipur. Leaving the capital behind, travel southwest towards Rajasthan by private car. Appropriate refreshment and comfort stops can be taken along the highway according to the group's requirements. The drive introduces the first major transition of the tour, moving from India's national capital towards Jaipur's distinctive royal architecture and historic walled city.

Reach Jaipur and proceed to your selected hotel for check-in. After some rest, visit City Palace Jaipur and neighbouring Jantar Mantar according to available monument timings. City Palace introduces the courtyards, gateways and royal structures associated with Jaipur's ruling family, while Jantar Mantar presents monumental instruments created for astronomical observation. The close location of both attractions allows the afternoon to remain manageable after the road journey from Delhi.

Continue towards Hawa Mahal and spend some time around Jaipur's traditional Pink City streets. Guests can browse local markets for textiles, jewellery, handicrafts and other products if interested, although shopping remains optional. Depending on daylight and traffic, the sequence may be adjusted to keep the programme comfortable. Return to the hotel after sightseeing and spend the night in Jaipur.

Day3

Amer Fort, Jal Mahal & Jaipur to Jodhpur

Begin with breakfast, check out and drive towards Amer Fort in the hills north of Jaipur. Walk through its accessible courtyards, gateways and palace areas while observing the combination of defensive construction and decorative royal architecture. Elevated points provide attractive views towards Maota Lake and the surrounding hills. The fort requires considerable walking, including steps and slopes, so comfortable footwear is recommended.

After descending from Amer, stop beside Jal Mahal on Man Sagar Lake for photographs. Meet the driver afterwards and begin travelling west towards Jodhpur. Take a lunch and refreshment break at a suitable location during the journey. Since the intercity transfer occupies several hours, unnecessary sightseeing diversions are avoided so guests can reach Jodhpur at a reasonable time.

Arrive in the Blue City and proceed to your selected hotel. Complete check-in and keep the evening free after the journey from Jaipur. Guests may rest at the hotel or take a short independent walk nearby when convenient. Mehrangarh Fort and the main heritage areas are reserved for the following morning so they can be covered with adequate daylight. Spend the night in Jodhpur.

Day4

Mehrangarh Fort, Blue City & Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

Have breakfast, check out and proceed to Mehrangarh Fort, which rises dramatically above Jodhpur from a rocky hill. Enter through the fortified gateways and continue through the accessible courtyards, palace rooms and museum sections. The fort's elevated position provides extensive views over the city, including the clusters of blue-painted houses associated with Jodhpur's Blue City identity.

Continue towards Jaswant Thada, situated close to the fort, and spend some time around its marble architecture and quieter surroundings. Afterwards, see an accessible section of old Jodhpur or the Clock Tower area according to available time. Take a lunch break before beginning the next road journey. Shopping should remain brief because the afternoon drive towards Jaisalmer requires several hours.

Travel west towards Jaisalmer, watching the landscape become progressively drier as the route enters deeper into Rajasthan's desert region. Take practical comfort and refreshment stops along the way. Reach Jaisalmer later in the day, proceed to the selected hotel and complete check-in. Keep the evening free after the journey and spend your first overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day5

Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli & Sam Sand Dunes

After breakfast, proceed towards Jaisalmer Fort, whose golden sandstone walls dominate the city's historic skyline. Walk through the accessible lanes and heritage sections inside this living fortified settlement, where homes, shops and religious structures remain part of daily life. Its active character makes the fort substantially different from many other Rajasthan fort complexes. Take enough time to appreciate the architecture and views before continuing into the old city.

Next, visit Patwon Ki Haveli, recognised for detailed sandstone carving, balconies and richly worked façades. The merchant architecture provides another perspective on Jaisalmer's historic wealth and craftsmanship. Take a lunch break afterwards and use some time for the surrounding market streets if desired. Handicrafts, textiles, leather products and souvenirs are widely available, but shopping remains completely optional.

During the later afternoon, travel towards Sam Sand Dunes for the desert portion of the day. A camel ride can be undertaken when specifically included in the package, followed by time around the dunes during the evening. Cultural performances and dinner may be available when a desert camp arrangement has been confirmed. After the programme, return to Jaisalmer or stay at the selected desert camp according to the final booking plan.

Day6

Jaisalmer to Udaipur Road Journey

Have breakfast and complete check-out before beginning the longest road transfer of the itinerary. Travelling from the Jaisalmer region towards Udaipur covers a considerable distance across Rajasthan, so this day is deliberately dedicated primarily to the journey. Attempting to add numerous sightseeing stops would make the schedule unnecessarily exhausting and could result in a very late hotel arrival.

Travel by private car with suitable lunch, refreshment and comfort breaks at practical locations. The scenery gradually changes as the route leaves the desert landscapes of western Rajasthan and moves towards the southern part of the state. Travellers can use the driving time to rest after several consecutive days of fort and city sightseeing. Actual journey duration will depend on traffic, road conditions and the number of breaks taken.

Reach Udaipur and proceed directly to your selected hotel. Complete check-in and keep the remainder of the evening at leisure. No major sightseeing attraction is scheduled after arrival, allowing guests to relax before exploring the Lake City the following morning. Have dinner according to your selected meal plan and spend your first overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day7

City Palace Udaipur, Old City & Lake Pichola

Begin with breakfast before proceeding to City Palace Udaipur. The large palace complex overlooks Lake Pichola and contains interconnected courtyards, gateways, balconies, rooms and museum sections developed over successive periods of Mewar's history. Several accessible points provide attractive views over the lake and surrounding city. Adequate time is reserved for walking through its principal areas rather than rushing through the complex.

After City Palace, continue through selected parts of old Udaipur and take a lunch break at a restaurant of your preference. Guests interested in local products can browse miniature paintings, textiles, jewellery and handicrafts in the traditional shopping areas. Those preferring a slower afternoon can instead spend time around an accessible waterfront. No compulsory shopping stop forms part of the programme.

Towards evening, proceed to Lake Pichola, where an optional boat ride can be taken subject to operating schedules, ticket availability, weather and water conditions. The lake offers a different perspective on Udaipur's waterfront palaces, ghats and surrounding hills. Guests not taking the boat ride can spend the evening near the lakeside before returning to the hotel. Spend the second overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day8

Udaipur to Agra Road Journey

After breakfast, complete check-out and prepare for another substantial road sector as the tour leaves Rajasthan's southern region and heads towards Agra. The journey covers a long distance, making an early departure advisable. Comfortable clothing, water and personal travel essentials should be kept accessible inside the vehicle. Suitable breaks will be planned during the journey.

Take lunch and refreshment halts at practical locations while travelling towards eastern Rajasthan and onward into Uttar Pradesh. This is primarily a transfer day, and no attempt is made to fill the route with unrelated monuments simply to increase the sightseeing count. Maintaining a manageable travel pace is particularly important at this stage of a ten-day circuit.

Reach Agra later in the day and proceed to your selected hotel. Complete check-in and rest after the lengthy road journey. Depending on arrival time, guests may take a short independent walk or simply remain at the property. The Taj Mahal visit is intentionally kept for the following day so it can be covered properly rather than rushed before closing hours. Spend the night in Agra.

Day9

Taj Mahal, Agra Heritage & Drive to Delhi

Begin the morning with breakfast and proceed towards the Taj Mahal, one of India's most recognised architectural landmarks. Enter according to the applicable ticketing, security and visitor procedures, and allow adequate time for the main complex and gardens. Security restrictions apply to items that can be carried inside, so travellers should check current regulations before leaving the hotel. The Taj Mahal is generally closed to regular visitors on Fridays, so the itinerary may require adjustment when travel dates overlap with the weekly closure.

After the Taj Mahal visit, continue with selected Agra heritage sightseeing according to available time and the confirmed programme. Take a lunch break before meeting the driver for the return journey towards Delhi. Monument entrance charges and optional guide services remain payable separately. The afternoon road sector completes the main circuit after several days travelling through Rajasthan and Agra.

Reach Delhi later in the day and proceed to the selected hotel for check-in. Keep the final evening free for rest, dinner or personal time. Travellers interested in last-minute shopping can consider it only when arrival time and energy levels permit. No compulsory evening programme is added after the Agra-to-Delhi journey. Spend the final overnight stay in Delhi.

Day10

Delhi Morning & Departure

Have breakfast and enjoy a comfortable final morning according to your onward travel schedule. Complete check-out at the hotel and prepare for the departure transfer. Guests with early flights or trains will proceed directly towards the required terminal or station, while travellers leaving later may have some additional time available in Delhi.

When the schedule permits, use the remaining hours for a short local drive, meal or last-minute shopping within the confirmed vehicle timing. No major paid monument is fixed on the departure morning because Delhi traffic and airport reporting requirements can vary considerably. Maintaining sufficient time for the final transfer is prioritised over adding another rushed attraction.

At the agreed time, the private driver will transfer you to Delhi Airport, railway station or another confirmed local drop point. The Royal Rajasthan Grand Circuit 9 nights 10 days concludes after connecting Delhi and Agra's Mughal heritage with Jaipur's Pink City, Jodhpur's formidable fort, Jaisalmer's desert architecture and Udaipur's lakeside Mewar character.
