Colourful Rajasthan Tour - 4 Nights / 5 Days

Tour overview

Enjoy safe travel and great views during the whole trip.

Three destinations reveal three noticeably different faces of Rajasthan on this five-day road journey. The Colourful Rajasthan Tour connects Jaipur's grand forts and royal avenues with the sacred surroundings of Pushkar before finishing among Udaipur's lakes and Mewar-era palaces. The route is particularly suitable for Indian families, couples and small groups looking for a compact multi-city Rajasthan holiday.

Jaipur begins the trip with Amer Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal, bringing together the architectural landmarks most closely associated with the Pink City. From Jaipur, the journey moves towards Pushkar, where the atmosphere changes from a busy state capital to a pilgrimage town centred aroundPushkar Lake and Brahma Temple. Time is kept for the ghats and traditional market streets before travelling onward.

Udaipur forms the final and more relaxed section of this 4 nights 5 days Rajasthan tour package. City Palace introduces the royal history of Mewar, while Lake Pichola brings waterfront scenery into the itinerary. With a private car and driver managing the scheduled transfers between Jaipur, Pushkar and Udaipur, travellers can complete the circuit without arranging separate transportation between each destination.

Tour Itinerary

Day1

Jaipur Arrival, City Palace, Jantar Mantar & Pink City

Arrive in Jaipur and meet your assigned driver at Jaipur Airport, Jaipur Junction railway station, bus stand or another pickup point confirmed before the journey. Travel by private car towards the selected hotel and complete check-in according to the property's applicable timing. A short rest period is kept before sightseeing so travellers can settle in comfortably after their journey. The first day's route concentrates on the old Jaipur area, where several significant landmarks are situated reasonably close to one another. The exact sequence may be adjusted according to your arrival time, traffic conditions and monument operating hours.

Begin with City Palace Jaipur, an extensive royal complex containing courtyards, gateways, museum areas and architectural sections associated with Jaipur's former rulers. Continue to neighbouring Jantar Mantar, where enormous masonry instruments were constructed for astronomical observation and calculation. Although these two attractions stand close together, they offer completely different perspectives on Jaipur's past—one through royal architecture and the other through historical science. Adequate time is kept for walking through the accessible sections rather than reducing both monuments to quick photography stops.

Proceed through the walled city towards Hawa Mahal, where its distinctive façade overlooks one of Jaipur's busy traditional streets. Spend some time around the Pink City surroundings and, if the schedule permits, browse a nearby market area. Jaipur is known for jewellery, block-printed textiles, lac products, handicrafts and traditional footwear, although shopping remains entirely optional. Travellers who prefer additional rest can return to the hotel directly after sightseeing. At the end of the day's programme, drive back to your hotel and stay overnight in Jaipur.

Day2

Amer Fort, Jal Mahal & Jaipur to Pushkar

Have breakfast at the hotel, complete check-out and leave for Amer Fort in the morning. Located against the hills north of Jaipur, Amer is one of the largest architectural landmarks included in the Colourful Rajasthan itinerary. Walk through the principal gateways and courtyards before proceeding into the accessible palace sections. The contrast between its formidable outer walls and decorative royal interiors provides a clear impression of how the complex served both defensive and residential purposes. Elevated areas also provide views towards Maota Lake and the surrounding Aravalli terrain, making comfortable walking shoes advisable for the visit.

After leaving Amer, descend towards Jaipur and stop beside Jal Mahal on Man Sagar Lake. The water palace is generally viewed from the lakeside during a regular Jaipur sightseeing programme, allowing guests to take photographs before continuing towards Pushkar. Meet your driver after the halt and begin the road journey southwest from Jaipur. A lunch or refreshment stop can be made along the way according to the group's preference, with meals payable directly unless included separately in the confirmed package.

Reach Pushkar and proceed to the selected hotel for check-in. Later, visit the sacred Pushkar Lake, where numerous ghats and religious structures surround the water. Spend time around the permitted sections while respecting local customs and instructions applicable to visitors. Continue towards the well-known Brahma Temple, an important pilgrimage site associated with the town. Religious services, offerings and priest-related arrangements are optional and payable separately. After completing the visit, walk through the local market area if time permits before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay in Pushkar.

Day3

Pushkar Morning & Road Journey to Udaipur

Begin the morning with breakfast at your Pushkar hotel and enjoy some unhurried time before leaving the pilgrimage town. Guests who wish to revisit the central market or walk through an accessible section near the ghats can do so according to the available schedule. Pushkar's compact streets contain small shops selling handicrafts, textiles, jewellery, devotional articles and various locally made products. No additional religious ceremony is compulsory, allowing travellers to use the morning according to their personal interests. Complete the hotel check-out and prepare for the next stage of the journey.

Meet your private driver and leave Pushkar for Udaipur, travelling south through Rajasthan. This is primarily an intercity transfer day, and the itinerary avoids inserting numerous unrelated attractions simply to increase the sightseeing count. A suitable lunch halt can be taken during the journey, along with practical refreshment and comfort breaks whenever required. The changing road landscape provides a gradual transition from Pushkar's relatively dry surroundings towards the hillier terrain associated with southern Rajasthan and the Mewar region.

Arrive in Udaipur later in the day and proceed directly to your selected hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and keep the evening relatively free after the road journey. Depending on your arrival time and hotel location, you may take a short independent walk, have dinner at a restaurant of your choice or simply rest at the property. Major Udaipur sightseeing is reserved for the following day so that City Palace and Lake Pichola can be visited without rushing against closing hours. Spend your first overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day4

City Palace Udaipur, Old City & Lake Pichola

Have breakfast before beginning the main Udaipur sightseeing programme at City Palace Udaipur. Rising above Lake Pichola, the complex consists of interconnected courtyards, balconies, gateways, rooms and museum areas developed over different periods of Mewar's royal history. Several accessible sections provide views towards the lake and surrounding city, adding a scenic dimension to the historical visit. The palace is extensive, so enough time is reserved for walking through its principal sections. Entrance fees and applicable photography charges are payable directly and are not included in the package transportation cost.

After leaving City Palace, continue through selected parts of old Udaipur, where narrow streets, traditional buildings and small shops create a noticeably different setting from Jaipur's broad avenues. Take a lunch break at a restaurant of your preference before using some time for local shopping or a relaxed city walk. Udaipur is known for miniature paintings, handicrafts, textiles, jewellery and decorative products. Shopping is optional and can be skipped entirely by guests who prefer more leisure time before the evening lake visit.

Towards the later part of the day, proceed to Lake Pichola. Guests can opt for a boat ride when services are operational, subject to weather, water conditions, ticket availability and local schedules. Viewing Udaipur from the lake provides a broad perspective of its waterfront architecture, ghats and surrounding hills, particularly during the evening hours. Those not taking a boat ride can spend time around an accessible lakeside area instead. After completing the evening programme, return to your hotel and spend the second night in Udaipur.

Day5

Udaipur Leisure Morning & Departure

The final morning begins with breakfast at your Udaipur hotel and some free time before departure. After four days covering three destinations, the schedule does not force another major monument visit into the last few hours. Complete check-out according to the hotel's standard timing and prepare your luggage for the departure transfer. The day's arrangements will be planned according to your confirmed flight, train, bus or other onward travel schedule from Udaipur.

Guests with a later departure may use the available hours for a brief shopping stop, a relaxed local drive or lunch at a restaurant of their choice. Any additional stop should remain within the confirmed vehicle schedule and leave sufficient time for reaching the airport or railway station. Travellers with an early departure will proceed directly from the hotel after breakfast and check-out. Personal meals, shopping and optional activities undertaken during the available free time remain payable directly by guests.

At the scheduled time, your driver will transfer you to Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur City railway station, bus stand or another confirmed local drop point. The Colourful Rajasthan Tour 4 nights 5 days concludes after connecting the royal heritage of Jaipur, the sacred surroundings of Pushkar and the lakeside architecture of Udaipur. The journey provides three distinct Rajasthan settings within five days while maintaining a practical road route and sufficient sightseeing time at the principal destinations.
